The site is supported by advertising. Because our tools run in your browser rather than on expensive servers, our costs stay low enough that ads alone sustain the service — no premium tier needed.

Yes — this is our core design principle. Files are processed by JavaScript on your own device and are never transmitted to us or anyone else. You can verify this in your browser's network inspector: no file data leaves the page.

After a page has fully loaded, most tools can run without a connection, since processing is local. A connection is needed to first load the page and its libraries.

Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari and Opera. A few advanced features (like extracting all GIF frames) work best in Chromium-based browsers — tools will tell you when that matters.

We impose none. Very large files are limited only by your device's memory. Multi-hundred-page PDFs and 50-megapixel images process fine on typical modern hardware.

Browsers have honest limits: they cannot encode certain formats (e.g. animated WebP) or decode others (e.g. RAW sensor data). When a limit applies, our tools say so plainly and do the best possible within it, rather than silently failing.

No. We cannot — the files never reach us. Even our analytics only count page visits, never file contents or names.
